New Delhi: Italy-Based Super sport carmaker Lamborghini will launch its first-ever V12 plug-in hybrid Revuelto, priced at $600,000, in India on December 6.The cost will be upwards of Rs. 10 crore as the company will import fully-built units. At the current exchange rate, $600,000 is about Rs. 5 crore, and India imposes 100% duty on fully built imported cars with a CIF (cost, insurance and freight)value of more than $40,000. After adding local registration charges, the price of the Revuelto in the domestic market will be in excess ofRs. 10 crore. The cost will be higher if the buyer opts for personalised customisation. Sharad Agarwal, head of Lamborghini India, told FE that even though the average ex-showroom price of Lamborghini cars in India is a little over Rs. 4 crore, most buyers opt for customization that can run into a crore or more per car. "Buyers want to make a Lamborghini their own' —and love to splurge on customised interiors and exteriors, according to their taste," Agarwal said.

India close to securing lithium reserves overseas: Pralhad Joshi
New Delhi: India is closing in on lithium reserves overseas, said Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Mines, Coal and Parliamentary Affairs. While there is “limited resource availability” of lithium and critical minerals, the plan going forward would be to secure supplies from other countries. According to Joshi, the Geological Survey of India (GSI) has taken up 125 exploration projects this year, the highest ever, as the Ministry is upping the ante on the availability of critical and strategic minerals within India. Earlier this year, a list of 30 critical minerals was announced that include lithium, cobalt, copper, graphite, molybdenum, nickel, platinum of elements (PGE), phosphorous, potash, rare earth elements (REE), silicon, tin, titanium, and tungsten.
